As one of the nation’s leading geriatricians as well as noted author and speaker on aging well, Dr. Patel brings a wealth of primary care expertise, medical care management and clinical staff development to GrayHawk Health.
Dr. Patel a board-certified, experienced practicing geriatrician as well as a family medicine physician, pharmacist and experienced clinical administrative executive serves a crucial role in ensuring GrayHawk consistently impacts positive patient health outcomes, improves overall patient satisfaction and better controls healthcare costs by ensuring the right care is delivered at the right time in the most effective care settings.
Prior to joining GrayHawk Health, Dr. Patel held several key leadership positions, including serving as Chief Medical Officer, Tabula Rasa Healthcare, Consulting Chief Medical Officer, Thais Health; Medical Director of Population Health, Inspira Health Network and Medical Director, Acute Care for Elders Unit, Riverside Health System, Newport News, VA. He is also and international best seller, with the book he authored, “Age is Just a Number – a Geriatrician’s Secrets to Getting the Most out of Life,” and host of the podcast, “Keep Up with PACE.”
Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from North Gujarat University in India. He then earned his medical degree from St. James School of Medicine in Netherlands Antilles and MBA from Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, his Family Medicine residency from University of Alabama – Huntsville and Geriatric fellowship from Easter Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.
